“LEarn from the past, vote your future

The Johnson County National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (JCNAACP) is extremely excited to announce that we are resuming the tradition of hosting the Annual Freedom Fund Banquet. This year’s Freedom Fund Banquet will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2025 at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Hotel in Olathe, KS. Doors open at 5:00pm, for social and networking. Program begins at 6pm.

Our theme this year is “LEARN FROM THE PAST, VOTE YOUR FUTURE.” The key note speaker will be the Honorable Karen Arnold-Burger. Hon. Karen Arnold-Burger is a judge of the Kansas Court of Appeals. She assumed office on March 4, 2011.

We invite you to join us again for an evening filled with a dynamic speaker, musical entertainment and the awarding of scholarships to very deserving students.

In previous years, we have had over 500 people in attendance. The audience was comprised of Business Leaders, Mayors, Police Chiefs and their staff, Teachers, Pastors and their members, Fraternities, Sororities, Students, NAACP Members and their Guests. Our Banquet includes an excellent representation of our community coming together to support the JCNAACP in fulfilling the vision of ensuring that we have a society in which all individuals have equal rights without discrimination based on race. We hope that you will support us and we can exceed our previous numbers.

We are asking for your support in becoming a Banquet Sponsor so that we can make this year’s Banquet very special. Your commitment to be a sponsor helps us immensely in our programs.

We thank you immensely in advance for your support and our co-chairs would be happy to answer any questions that you might have at either 913-362-2272 or email us at nejcnaacp@sbcglobal.net.

Tickets can be purchased by calling the office at 913-362-2272 or on PayPal using the link below.
